We originally booked the Haleakala/Hana tour but weather was a problem for that flight. The friendly staff recommended a change to the West Maui/Molokai tour. It was phenomenal. The tour covered beautiful places, our pilot was friendly and informative, and the ride was smooth despite the winds. The whole family loved it! We booked online after a quick email/phone call exchange. The office staff was super helpful and friendly.

We’d give it 10 stars if that was possible. Our pilot, Captain Kirk (really! Captain Kirk) was absolutely awesome! We had a front seat to the tour. Learned new things about Maui. Would definitely go again! Aloha!

Captain Kirk with masterly flight technique took us around the West Island of Maui, into the lush valleys to see the waterfalls and the peaks. It was a thrilling experience. Then we traversed the sea to Molokai and flew over the entire island, going into valleys, cliffs. We saw the the beautiful coral reefs, the leper colony and the small and isolated dwellings. He told us the story of the people of Hawai’i’s migration from the Marquise islands and how they arrived after a harrowing journey on the island of Maui. He told us about his arrival nearly 30 years ago on a 3 month temporary job and how he was compelled to stay. He told us about the significance of mana among the Hawaiians. All this during just an awesome flight. Captain Kirk is clearly spellbound and love his work; he is attentive to his passengers, knows when to capture their attention, to alleviate fears and uneasiness. Would highly recommend this tour even for seasoned travelers. Very enjoyable, even for those scared of heights and of flight turbulences. His navigation was so smooth and seemed effortless. The personnel on the ground was kind and attentive. They called to confirm the flight, to let us know that the flight conditions had changed, proposing this alternate route, which in our view was a much more valuable experience! All around 10/10!

Due to the weather, we had to switch our original tour plans of seeing Haleakalā and instead took the West Maui / Moloka'i 60 min tour - And I honestly think this ended up being the better option! Captain Kirk took us through so many sights on the island that he said we typically couldn't see because of the clouds, and dropping off the highest sea cliffs in the world was my favorite part! Captain Kirk made the trip personal, continuously checked up on us, and his enthusiasm for the island was palpable. In only 60 minutes, I feel like we saw so much more than I expected. I'd suggest this tour to anyone visiting Maui!

First I just want to tell others: SIT ON THE LEFT SIDE! They say it doesn't matter which side you sit on but the pilot tended to show the people on the left side all of the good stuff for a long period of time and then would show us people on the right side the feature (waterfall, cliff, etc) for just a split second - hardly enough time to capture even 2 pictures - before flying off. I wish we would have been seated on the left side or that the pilot would have given us people on the right side more than a couple of seconds of each feature. I don't mean that to sound negative, just letting other people know so that if they read this, they know to ask to be seated on the left side (not sure if they would even let you pick since they try to distribute the weight evenly). That being said though: Ultimately it was an amazing experience! In fact, this was our absolute favorite experience we had during our stay in Maui! I love that they had a doors-off option. DEFINITELY do the doors off version! Once you go doors-off, you never go doors-on again! It was SO much better than having doors. Also props to the staff for being some of the most friendly staff we experienced while in Maui, and that's saying a lot! These people were really great and made sure we had a great experience from start to finish. I can HIGHLY recommend flying with Air Maui and we will definitely fly with them again on our next visit!

The helicopter tour was absolutely amazing! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour and was the highlight of our vacation. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I went to the office a say early for recon. Everyone was very friendly and organized. The fligjt was awesome!live the way Nathan flys! This is a must do to see parts of Maui you can't see from the ground

The pilot was great, with his stories of different parts of the trip and his play list for the trip was awesome.. We were concern about the winds, wife has never been in a helicopter but the 45 min tour was so smooth with no worries.. Waterfalls are breath taking.. Worth the money!!!!

Gorgeous ride. The pilot was skilled and informative. Pointed out spots as we cruised along the coast and inland over lush green landscapes. Well worth the money

Had a lovely time on this great helicopter tour! We had to change routes due to weather but got to see lovely waterfalls, valleys, ocean cliffs, and Molokai. I love taking helicopter tours in the Hawaiian islands because so many places are inaccessible.
